Obituary: Joseph Noe, 85, of Charlestown

Joseph is the devoted longtime companion of Barbara Lewis of Charlestown.

Joseph Noe, a 50 year resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, Nov. 14 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford following an extended illness. He was 85 years old.

Joseph was born in Boston on April 26, 1929, a son of the late Ralph Noe and Jeannette (Drafone) Noe. He grew up in the West End of Boston and was educated in the Boston Public School system. Joe worked in the Maintenance Division for the City of Boston for over 30 years. He enjoyed traveling to Foxwoods.

Joseph is the devoted longtime companion of Barbara Lewis of Charlestown. He is the beloved brother of Betty Tedder of Saugus, Martin Olsen of Quincy and the late Angelina LaFountain, Shirley Uhre and Ralph Noe. He is the loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joe’s visiting hours on Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 3 to 6 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. in Charlestown. His burial is private.
