Originally one of the ancient Chinese martial arts, Tai Chi is practiced today primarily as a method of exercise that cultivates physical and mental harmony in movement. Its slow, fluid forms—based on the Chinese principle of yin and yang—and its emphasis on relaxed, effortless movement makes it ideal for people of all ages. In this 8 session class you will learn the first section of the traditional Yang-style of long-form Tai Chi.

What began as an informal get-together for the love and challenge of playing the intricate arrangements of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, of Steely Dan turned into a terrific group. The name, a tip-of-the-hat to the 1982 standard-bearer Fagen's The Nightfly. Since then we have brought it to festivals, clubs and music halls.....and now, at The Chelmsford Center for The Arts.

Back to the early 1970's, and through to the early 1980's we go...playing you sonic gems from: Can't Buy A Thrill, Pretzel Logic, Countdown to Ecstasy, Katy Lied, The Royal Scam, Aja, Gaucho and The Nightfly.

one homeowner really do to mitigate a global crisis? Trevor Smith will 
take you past the bleak outlook and talk about what we CAN do. How our 
plant choices and simply changing the way we maintain our properties can
 make a huge difference in our local ecology. Trevor makes it clear that
 the power to slow or stop climate change doesn’t rest solely in the 
hands of government. We can all make a difference. His presentation will
 leave you inspired and empowered to take action.
Our speaker, 
Trevor Smith, has 20 years of field experience as a regenerative 
landscape designer and holds several landscape certifications, and is 
also a past President of the Ecological Landscape Alliance and a current
 Trustee. He currently is the Design and Education Manager at Weston 
Nurseries.

The 10th annual Ride For Cancer Care will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024.&nbsp; This year's ride is in memory of Officer Tim Bourke.&nbsp; The 80 mile&nbsp;motorcycle ride (including one rest stop)&nbsp;begins and ends at the Chelmsford Elks Lodge with an optional Poker Run. All electronics, appliances, items with a plug and/or batteries, as well as bicycles in any condition will be accepted and recycled for a small cost as follows:

Computer hard drives will be destroyed during the recycling process, but can be removed on-site at the event for an additional charge. Cash payment is preferred, but checks will be an acceptable form of payments over $30.
