Kerem Shalom of Concord invites the community to join us in-person for a summer lay-led Erev Shabbat with Kerem Shalom member Mary Plotkin!
This Friday evening at Kerem Shalom, in the midst of summer's heat, we will gather in the coolness of our sanctuary to welcome Shabbat. The Torah portion is Pinchas, from the book of Bamidbar (Numbers). Pinchas is a grandson of Aaron who is rewarded for his zealous enforcement of God's commandments. It's not a pretty story, and it makes one wonder whether and when zealotry is a good thing.
Please join Marty as we celebrate Shabbat with song, prayer, warm companionship, and thoughtful conversation about the value and risk of passionate commitment.
Kerem Shalom is a vibrant, diverse, and welcoming Jewish community where tradition and innovation are celebrated.
