Crunch Danvers To Open $5 Million Gym In Former Staples Location

The 32,000-square-foot fitness facility on Newbury Street is set to open in June.

DANVERS, MA — Crunch Fitness plans to open a new $5 million fitness facility in Danvers in the former Staples location on Newbury Street.

The company on Monday said that Crunch Danvers will be 32,000 square feet and include $1 million in exercise equipment as part of the $5 million in overall investments into the space.

"We are looking forward to bringing the exciting and inclusive Crunch workout experience to Danvers," Crunch Danvers Club Manager Derek Bye said in a news release to Patch. "With top-quality equipment and amazing classes, there is definitely something for everyone at Crunch, and we can't wait to empower Danvers residents to achieve their fitness goals."

Crunch Danvers is set to be open 24 hours a day and includes cardio and strength training equipment, circuit training, group fitness classes, ride studios, Olympic platforms as well as relaxation and recovery areas.

Personal trainers will also be available.

Crunch is designed after a model of mixing fitness with entertainment in a "no judgment" atmosphere.

The new Danvers location will add to the portfolio of more than 400 locations worldwide across 37 states and five countries.
