Danvers Cancels School, Declares Snow Emergency For Tuesday

With a second round of snow headed our way, Danvers will also delay trash collection beginning Tuesday

DANVERS, MA — Danvers Public Schools will be closed Tuesday. With the second wave of the season's first winter storm hitting the region Monday night, Danvers officials declared a snow emergency beginning at midnight Tuesday. Parking on town streets is prohibited during a snow emergency.

Danvers officials also said trash will not be collected Tuesday as storm cleanup continues. Trash pickup will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week (Tuesday on Wednesday, Wednesday on Thursday, etc.).

The Peabody Institute Library in Danvers is closing at 5 p.m. on Monday as a result of the storm.
