Danvers High School Senior Honored For Academic Excellence

DANVERS, MA — The top-ranked student in the Danvers High School senior class recently added another impressive honor to her transcript when Isha Kripesh Patel was awarded the 2023 Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents' Certificate of Academic Excellence.

Patel was recognized as a high school senior who has demonstrated distinguished academic performance and personal contributions to their high school communities.

Patel was honored for her achievement at Monday night's School Committee meeting.

She is a National Honor Society member who is taking five advanced placement courses while working at an internship at Medtronic as part of the company's Women in Engineering program.

"Isha is a leader in all aspects of the Danvers High School community," DHS Principal Adam Federico said. "Her achievements in academics, athletics and extracurricular activities are unmatched. We are very proud of her."

She also serves on the NAACP Youth Council, is the founding member and leader of the Nex Gen Equity and Inclusion group, is captain of the Math team, president of Mock Trial, and is a runner on the Danvers High cross country and track teams.

Patel also launched an online boutique selling sustainable fashion in 2021 that has sold more than 250 items and has 160,000 social media followers.
