Danvers Outdoor Watering Restrictions Implemented

The town is under Level 2 outdoor water use restrictions as of May 1.

DANVERS, MA – Danvers residents can only water their gardens and lawns overnight as of May 1.

Effective Monday, May 1, Danvers moved to "Seasonal Conditions" of the outdoor water use restrictions policy, according to the Danvers DPW. Outdoor law and garden watering is only allowed between 7 p.m. and 8 a.m. until Sept. 30.

According to a post on the Danvers DPW Facebook page, the restrictions were put in place in response to stress on the Ipswich River Basin. The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection regulations impose a cap of summer water use from May to October.
