DANVERS, MA – The Danvers Police Department and Kiwanis Club are holding their third annual free car seat safety checkpoint on Saturday, May 6.

Certified technicians will be at the Thorpe Elementary School from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to teach parents and caregivers how to install child safety seats and make sure kids are safe in the car, according to a post on the Danvers Police Facebook page.

Ira Toyota of Danvers is sponsoring the event, so police will provide families in need with new car seats at no cost.
