Danvers Route 114 Emergency Water Main Repair Work Friday

MassDOT said the work is necessary because of a water main break at the intersection of Cranberry Farm Road near Andover Street.

DANVERS, MA — Temporary lane closures were put in place Friday afternoon on Route 114 in Danvers as part of what the state Department of Transportation said was an emergency work zone for a water main break.

The closures were to be between the intersections of Brooksby Village Drive and Judith Road. The work was to close the center turn lane and Route 114 westbound through lane.

MassDOT said Danvers Public Works crews required the closure to fix a water main break at the intersection of Cranberry Farm Road near Andover Street.

The closures were expected to be in place from noon to 6 p.m.

Route 114 westbound through lanes and Route 114 eastbound right through lane will remain open. The dedicated left turn lane at Brooksby Village Drive was also to remain open.
