Danvers Route 114 Gas Main Repairs Force Lane Restrictions

The state Department of Transportation said the work at the intersection of Brooksby Village was expected to last until 11 p.m. on Friday.

DANVERS, MA — Drivers on Route 114 in Danvers were set to face delays throughout Friday because of a broken gas main.

The state Department of Transportation said lane restrictions would be in place on both Route 114 eastbound and westbound in the area of the Brooksby Village intersections. Those restrictions were expected to last until 11 p.m.

At least one lane of travel was to be maintained at all times in both directions of Route 114.

Signs, traffic control devices, detours and law enforcement details will be used to guide drivers through or around the work zones.

MassDOT encourages drivers to reduce speed and use caution while approaching and traveling through or around the work zones and to allow for extra time through this area.
