DANVERS, MA — Independence Day is quickly approaching, which means it's time to figure out a plan for watching Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in and around Danvers in 2023.

We've rounded up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening near Danvers so you can start planning now — whether you want to stay local or travel to another show nearby.

The skies of Beverly will light up on July 3 with fireworks fired off from a barge 800 feet off West Beach at about 9:15 p.m.

Salem will host its fireworks at the Maritime National Historic site on Derby Street at 9 p.m. on July 4.

Of course, the traditional Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular — the biggest July 4 event in the state — at the Hatch Memorial Shell on the Charles River Esplanade will be the main event this year. The orchestra will start around 8 p.m., with fireworks going off around 10:30 p.m. to
Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.

As many in the state know, fireworks are illegal in Massachusetts, and so we're including only shows that have been licensed by the state Department of Fire Services. These fireworks shows
