DANVERS, MA — TaVern @ 156 plans to open on Route 114 in Danvers sometime between mid-February and mid-March. The new restaurant will take over a vacant Papa Gino's store and takes its name from its 156 Andover Street address. Co-owner Paul Mortimer told the Danvers Citizen-Herald, which first reported this story, that the business is still awaiting some additional permits.

The restaurant had originally said it would open this past fall. "Everyone is working very hard to get us up and opening," the restaurant, which will serve new American cuisine, said on a Facebook post earlier this month. "We are going to have an amazing Tavern where everyone will be welcome to enjoy our awesome food and cocktails!!"
