Topsfield Fair Launches Annual 'Read & Win' Program

Children who reach their goal will be awarded a free admission, hot dog, drink and two free ride tickets at this year's Fair.

DANVERS, MA — Children in communities through Essex County, Middlesex County and southern New Hampshire are invited to take part in this year's Topsfield Fair "Read & Win" program where students who reach their goals can receive free admission, a hot dog, drink and two park rides at this year's Fair.

Each library sets a goal for elementary school children in their communities encouraging them to read library books. The program is open to students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

The Topsfield Fair will provide free admission, hot dogs and drink, while Fiesta Shows, the Seabrook, NH-based company that has supplied the Mid-Way and Kiddie Land at the Topsfield Fair since 1950, is awarding each child two ride tickets.

"Partnering with the local libraries directly ties in with the educational programs that we run every year during the Topsfield Fair," said James O’Brien, General Manager of the Topsfield Fair. "I'm happy that Fiesta Shows was once again eager to participate in the Read and Win program with us. It is a testament to our 74-year partnership and shows they are as invested in the program as we are."

This year's Fair runs from Oct. 4 through Oct. 14. Tickets are $20 per day with advanced tickets on sale for $15, with a three-day pass $42.

Children under 8 are free with an adult admission ticket. Discounted ride tickets are also available.
