1 Killed In I-95 Rollover In Dedham

A car rolled over into a flooded gully off I-95 overnight, coming to rest upside down in several feet of water, state police said.

DEDHAM, MA — One person is dead following a rollover on I-95 in Dedham overnight, state police said.

The crash happened around 4:20 a.m. Saturday on the northbound side of the highway at the University Avenue exit. A Toyota RAV4 with two men inside rolled over into a flooded gully between the roadway and the ramp, coming to a rest upside down in several feet of water, police said.

Troopers pulled the men from the car and performed emergency lifesaving aid at the scene, state police said.

Both victims were taken to the hospital, where the passenger was pronounced dead. The driver also sustained serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
