Auto Shop Near Dedham-West Roxbury Line Could Become Apartments

Dedham-based Hub Development LLC ​has submitted a letter of intent for the building to the Boston Planning & Development Agency.

WEST ROXBURY, MA — A 17-unit apartment building has been proposed for a site currently occpupied by an auto shop.

Dedham-based Hub Development LLC has submitted a letter of intent for the four-story building to the Boston Planning & Development Agency, according to the Boston Herald. The site is located at 5205 Washington St. in West Roxbury, a short distance from the Dedham line. Currently, Lee Myles Transmissions sits on the property.

Dedham-based McKay Architects has been hired as the designer.

The first floor will consist of parking for 26 cars and 12 bicycles, while the remaining space will consist of nine one-bedroom apartments and eight two-bedroom units.
