Blue Bunny Bookstore Donations Head to Dedham Schools

Donations included Teacher Appreciation Packets for the ECEC and Elementary Schools along with reading material for the high school

Teachers at the Early Childhood Education Center and the four elementary schools received their Teacher Appreciation packages as part of Teacher Appreciation Week. The packets, which were assembled by a group of Blue Bunny Volunteers, included coupons for a free Blue Bunny plush, a free coffee at Mocha Java, the cafe inside the store, two Peter H. Reynolds inspirational prints for their classrooms, an educator discount card for future purchases, and other goodies.

Another book donation was also dropped off at Dedham High School. The books are copies of books that are sent out by the publisher before the mass production and release date to introduce the new book to libraries and bookstores. They are known as Advanced Reader Copies and cannot be sold to the general public. As you can imagine, the store receives deliveries of Advanced Readers almost every week. Since the books cannot be sold, the Blue Bunny has started donating them to Dedham High School where educator Kathy Meagan distributes them to students and teachers. As of this date, the Blue Bunny has donated close to 100 books to the high school.
