'Daughter Is Funny, Loving, An Inspiration': Mother's Day Photos

DEDHAM, MA—Whether it's through his or her personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, a daughter or son becomes a reflection of the woman who raised that child. With Mother's Day 2018 right around the corner, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across Massachusetts to share their "mother-daughter" or "mother-son" lookalike photos.

It doesn't matter how old the kids are; they'll always be your babies!

This photo, submitted by Anita Poncia of her and her daughter Amanda Poncia in New Hampshire. Both are from Dedham. Anita said that her daughter is having a tough Mother's Day that year, as it was the first without Anita's mom, who died last July.

The best job ever is being a mom. My daughter is funny, loving and an inspiration.
