DEDHAM, MA - D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches, headquartered in Dedham, honored local food pantry workers with special lunch donations throughout the month of November. This initiative is a continuation of the brand’s EveryDAy Heroes program, in which the restaurant seeks out community heroes and delivers them free sandwiches as a sign of appreciation for the work they do.

To celebrate the holidays, the sandwich shop gave back to those serving others in food pantries, soup kitchens, and donation centers this November. The staff and volunteers of local food pantries were gifted one to two Thanksgiving toasted 29” Great Divides, a 29-inch sandwich packed with hand-sliced turkey breast, stuffing, cranberry sauce and mayonnaise, served with a side of hot gravy, and toasted to perfection.

“The dedicated staff and volunteers at our local food pantries are true EveryDAy Heroes, working hard this holiday season to fight hunger and maintain the well-being of their communities,” said Deena McKinley, CMO of D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches. “We understand the invaluable impact that these organizations have in our neighborhoods, and we are so happy to take this opportunity to show our deep appreciation for everything they do.”

The EveryDAy Heroes program was designed by D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches as a way to personally thank individuals and organizations making a meaningful, positive impact in their communities. From the start of the program last year until the end of October 2021, D’Angelo restaurants donated 8,925 Sandwiches and bags of chips to 204 organizations. The donations were received by heroes of all kinds in communities across New England.

In November, all D’Angelo restaurant locations were asked to choose a local food pantry, soup kitchen, or donation center and coordinate a delivery. That accounts for more than 200 feet of sandwich donated across more than 80 D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches locations, equivalent to the width of an NHL Hockey rink, or the height of a twenty-story building.
