Dedham Coronavirus Cases Continue To Rise

Dedham was in the "yellow" zone in last week's report from the state.

DEDHAM, MA — Coronavirus cases rose for the second week in Dedham, according to state data released Thursday.

Dedham reported 86 cases of coronavirus in the two weeks leading up to April 17, compared to 71 cases the week before that. The average daily incidence rate was higher than the previous week's, increasing to 22.4 from 18.5. The percent positivity increased from 2.32 percent to 2.69 percent.

Dedham's case count still places it in the state's "yellow" zone. The state reported 48 communities were high-risk last week, down from 59 the week before.

Massachusetts reported 24,036 cases in the weeks leading up to April 17, with a daily incidence rate of 24.7 and a percent positivity of 2.3 percent.
