Dedham Could See 7 To 10 Inches Of Snow

A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service for Thursday afternoon into Friday.

DEDHAM, MA — Another round of snow showers is on the way, prompting a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service from noon today until 7 p.m. Feb. 19.

Flakes should start falling late Thursday afternoon, through Friday leaving Dedham with between 6 and 10 inches of accumulation by Friday night.

Snow will begin in the mid-afternoon Thursday and precipitation might not let up until early Saturday morning, NBC10 Boston meteorologist Aaron Perry said in an email.

"It is looking like the coastal system is going to take a more southern track, leading to a slower and more prolonged scenario for Southern New England," Perry said.

This Afternoon- Snow likely, mainly after 5pm. Cloudy, with a high near 29. Northeast wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Tonight- Snow likely, mainly after 9pm. Cloudy, with a low around 27. Northeast wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Friday- Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 32. Northeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Friday Night- Snow likely, mainly before 10pm. Cloudy, with a low around 25. North wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
