DEDHAM, MA - Dedham Public Schools students from grades 4 through 8 were congratulated last week at the Dedham School Committee meeting for their achievements in math and science.

The district announced the scores and recognized students who were New England Math League High Scorers for 2022. The students took part in the 30 math question challenge, competing against other schools in the region.

Additionally, Dedham also honored the students who received awards at the 2022 Dedham Elementary Science Fair, which was held on May 19. At the science fair, over 37 students from grades 3 - 5 presented 26 different science projects, which were then judged by volunteers from The Dedham Conservation Commission, Johnson & Johnson and MIT.

"What I love most about the Elementary Science Fair is that it gives students an opportunity to explore what interests them in the world around them, using the practices of real science,” noted Dr. Linda Kobierski, DPS PK-8 STEM curriculum coordinator. “So much enthusiasm, great thinking and creativity. Every year I find it so inspiring!"
