Dedham Student Publishes Book With NY Times #1 Best Selling Author

Book Event for Dedham Resident Peter H. Reynolds and Son, Henry Rocket Reynolds at Dedham Community Theatre - Saturday, September 28, 10am

On Saturday, September 30th, at 10 am, the Dedham Community Theatre will be the site of a book launch event for the soon to be released picture book All We Need is Love and a Really Soft Pillow. The book is a collaboration by Dedham author/illustrator Peter H. Reynolds, and his 12-year-old son, Henry Rocket Reynolds, and is being published by Scholastic Books.

The public is welcome to attend the free event, which will include a reading of the book, drawing demonstration, and Q and A with the audience, followed by a book signing in the theatre lobby. The Dedham Community Theatre is located on High Street in Dedham Square, directly across the street from The Blue Bookstore, owned by Peter Reynolds.

The idea for All We Need is Love and and Really Soft Pillow began with a playful conversation between Peter and then 10-year-old Henry exploring the essential truths about what we need in life to be happy. While there really are tangible things that we need in life, the book’s main characters Poppy & Little One remind us all of the intangible life-essentials – strength, perseverance, optimism, and courage – and most of all, LOVE.
