Dedham's Animal Rescue League To Hold Rabies Vaccination Clinic May 21

The Animal Rescue League's Dedham office is partnering with the Town of Dedham for the four-hour event.

DEDHAM, MA - The Town of Dedham and the Animal Rescue League of Boston are teaming up to host a rabies vaccination clinic for dogs, cats and ferrets on Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The clinic will be held at the Animal Rescue League of Boston in Dedham at 55 Anna’s Place and is open to the public, not just Dedham residents. The cost for the rabies vaccine will be free for Dedham residents with proof of address and will be $10 for non-residents.

For Dedham residents who attend, the Town will also be providing an opportunity onsite to license your dog for the 2022 year. The cost for licensing is $10 for spayed/neutered dogs and $15 for non-spayed/non-neutered dogs. A copy of the dog’s current rabies vaccination is required for licensing, and all dogs in the Town of Dedham over the age of 6 months must be licensed. For those interested, microchips will also be available for purchase for $10.

For those who wish to attend, Dedham Animal Control Officer Deni Goldman has provided the following instructions:

  • All dogs must be on leashes and under owner/keeper control
  • Aggressive dogs must be muzzled prior to arrival
  • All cats/ferrets must be secured inside pet carriers
