For the third year in a row, the Dedham Junior Women's Club will be joining in the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) - Massachusetts walk on Saturday May 18, 2024 here in Dedham. The Dedham walk will begin at 10:00 am starting at the Endicott Estate Gazebo. We will walk down Walnut Street to Oakdale Square and back up Sanderson, ending back at the Endicott Estate. We are walking in Dedham this year in hopes that more people can join us in raising awareness and spreading the message of NAMI. If you are interested in joining the walk or want more information, please email, [email protected] with any questions or to sign up to join the walk. iIf you are unable to join in person and would like to donate, you can donate at NamiWalks.org under team name Dedham Junior Women's Club

NAMI is the largest grassroots organization started by a small group of families in 1979 to help individuals live fulfilling lives in a supportive caring community that gives them hope, advocacy, and education. There are over 700 NAMI State organizations and Affiliates who work in communities who provide support to raise awareness and education to those in need.
There is a stigma associated with mental health conditions that includes shame, isolation, hopelessness , bullying, self doubt and discrimination to name a few. We encourage Dedham residents to join us in supporting the programs and resources that NAMI offers to individuals and families affected by mental health conditions. There is a greater need, now more than ever, for mental health support.
