DEDHAM, MA — Police are investigating the death of an emaciated dog that was left outside the Animal Rescue League in Dedham.

The male, pit bull-type dog was found by an ARL on Oct. 25. A necropsy determined the dog was severely malnourished.

Surveillance footage from Oct. 23 showed an SUV-type vehicle with two people inside entering the ARL property and dumping the dog on the walkway. Police believe the vehicle is a Nissan Rogue.
