Fire Breaks Out At West Roxbury Yoga Studio

Boston firefighters contained a blaze at a shuttered West Roxbury yoga studio Monday morning.

WEST ROXBURY, MA — Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a two-alarm fire that broke out at a shuttered yoga studio in West Roxbury Monday morning, according to the Boston Fire Department.

At roughly 1 a.m. Monday morning, the Boston Fire Department responded to reports of a blaze at Pradhana, a one-story yoga studio on the 1500 block of VFW Parkway in West Roxbury that has been closed since 2017, according to Yelp.

Officials said responders were able to contain the fire to one building. At around 2 a.m., firefighters attempted to open the roof to let out smoke that had built up inside the studio, according to the Boston Fire Department.

The Fire Investigation Unit is on-scene examining the cause of the blaze, officials said. No injuries were reported.
