Dedham small business owners have until Friday, Oct. 23 to apply for grants of up to $10,000 to redress COVID business losses. This is the second round for grant applications. These are grants, not loans.

What’s different in Round 2?
New! Business owners can use projected 2020 household income to qualify but must provide detailed financial documentation.
Who can apply?
Only microenterprises are eligible, meaning:
- For-profit business entities,
- With 5 employees or fewer, and
- Owned by one or more of the employees.
Towns include
Ashland, Beverly, Burlington, Canton, Concord, Dedham, Essex, Lexington, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Marlborough, Melrose, Milton, Natick, North Reading, Norwood, Randolph, Reading, Sharon, Southborough, Stoneham, Watertown, Winchester, and Woburn.
Home-based businesses may be eligible.
Eligibility is limited by household income. (See online FAQs.) Applications from Woman, Minority, Veteran, LGBTQ and Disability-Owned Businesses will receive priority.
Who cannot apply?
Certain businesses are excluded: real estate rental or sales firms, businesses owned by persons under age 18, franchises, liquor stores, firearms dealers, lobbyists, or cannabis-related businesses.

What if I don’t live in Dedham?
Funds are available to any eligible microenterprise owner who lives in—and operate a business in—any of the 23 municipalities listed.
