Massachusetts Department Of Transportation Will Host Meeting On Pending Work At Ames & Bridge Streets

The meeting will address the project schedule, work hours, and anticipated traffic impacts during the construction phase.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation invites Dedham residents to attend a Virtual Public Information Meeting on the Ames Street and Bridge Street (Route 109) Reconstruction Project.

The meeting will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Register to participate.

The purpose of this virtual public meeting is to provide residents of Dedham and adjoining communities with an opportunity to become fully acquainted with updates to the Ames St. and Bridge St. (Route 109) Reconstruction project as it moves into construction in Summer 2020. The reconstruction project will provide:

  • ADA-accessible sidewalks,
  • wheelchair ramps and crosswalks to improve sidewalk connectivity;
  • five to six foot wide bicycle lanes with two foot buffers;
  • proper signage;
  • new Traffic Control System and crosswalks to improve pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular safety;
  • and stormwater improvements.

The meeting will address the project schedule, work hours, and anticipated traffic impacts during the construction phase.
