McGolf in Dedham to Host Miniature Golf Tournament
Money Raised Will Support Stone House Families During The Holidays
The Stone House in Roxbury, caring for and protecting adult and child survivors of domestic abuse, and helping them rebuild safe, secure, independent lives of purpose and self-fulfillment, announces its first-ever miniature golf tournament.
The Network of Gentlemen, a Stone House volunteer group of male allies committed to supporting survivors and spreading awareness of domestic violence prevention, has created this event to raise funds for the organization and the survivors it serves.
The event will take place on Wednesday, October 18th at 3:00 p.m. at McGolf, located at 150 Bridge Street in Dedham. Individuals and foursomes made of players ages 12 and up are welcome to participate. The cost to play is $40 per golfer and the money raised will support Stone House families during the holiday season. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 golfers. “We weren’t able to host our traditional golf tournament this year, so we thought that we would try a mini golf tournament,” said Gina Varamo, Chief Development Officer, Stone House. “We hope lots of people will join in the fun as every putt and donation will help survivors rebuild safe, purposeful lives.”
“We are very happy that the Network of Gentlemen is back up and running after a brief pause caused by the pandemic,” said Nancy Owens Hess, Chief Executive Officer, Stone House. “The fundraising this group does and the support that they provide is critical in helping us serve more individuals in need each year.”
