Number Of Coronavirus Cases Rose In Dedham Last Week

DEDHAM, MA — The number of coronavirus cases rose in Dedham last week, according to the state's data. Dedham reported 71 cases of coronavirus in the two weeks leading up to April 10, up from 62 the week before.

The average daily incidence rate was higher than the previous week's, increasing to 18.5 from 16.2. The percent positivity increased from 2.25 percent to 2.32 percent. Dedham, is labeled "yellow" in the state's risk assessment, the same as the week before.

The state reported 59 communities were high-risk last week, down from 77 the week before. Massachusetts reported 26,717 cases over the past two weeks, with a daily incidence rate of 27.4 cases per 100,000 people and a percent positivity of 2.3 percent.
