As posted by Paul Reynolds, former Town of Dedham Selectman:

There are many in Dedham and Boston-area who are heartbroken over the sudden loss of our friend and colleague Karen O’Connell, Esq. Economic Development Director for the Town of Dedham. Along with years of collaboration via civic work - I had the honor of working with Karen directly during my two terms as Selectman. She was smart, strategic, creative, cheerful - an ardent advocate for arts & culture, and for the vibrancy of America’s Main Street. Losing Karen is an unthinkable loss - but her impact on our community will endure as her legacy. The wake for Karen will be next Thursday (3/5) from 4-8 at Laughlin Nichols and Pennacchio in Hyde Park; the funeral will be Friday (3/6) morning at St. Susanna church in Dedham with Fr. Steve Josoma presiding. Got this lovely tribute photo today . . . I love it as it captures Karen’s contagious, joyful smile. We love you Karen.
