Teen Killed In Motor Vehicle Crash In Dedham

One person is dead following an accident involving a moped and a commercial dump truck Tuesday morning.

DEDHAM, MA — A teenager was killed in a crash Tuesday morning in Dedham, according to the Norfolk District Attorney's Office. The accident occurred in the vicinity of 21 Washington St. close to the West Roxbury line.

Police responded to a report of a crash between a commercial dump truck and a moped at 11:15 a.m. The moped's driver, a male teen, was transported to Faulkner Hospital and did not survive his injuries.

The moped's passenger traveled in the ambulance with the driver. The dump truck's two occupants remained at the scene of the crash and spoke with police.

The accident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed. The identity of the deceased will be released pending next-of-kin notification procedures
