EXPIRED: Winter Storm Warning Issued for Eastern Massachusetts

NEEDHAM, MA - A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 5 p.m. Friday night for all of Eastern Massachusetts.

The National Weather Service says to expect heavy snow until it starts to gradually taper off from west to east through late afternoon.

Hazardous travel is expected, along with tree damage and power outages due to the heavy, wet snow.

NWS officials caution drivers that travel will be slow and difficult due to snow covered roads and poor visibility. Officials are warning residents if they are headed out to plan on doubling their drive time.
