UPDATE: Winter Storm Warning, High Wind Warning Issued for Dedham

More snow is on the way.

Just as you were shoveling your way out of the last storm, here comes another one with potentially a few more inches.

The National Weather Service has upgraded their Winter Storm Watch for Dedham to a Winter Storm Warning that will be in effect until 1 p.m. Monday. Sunday afternoon, the NWS also issued a High Wind Warning that will remain in effect until 7 p.m. Monday.

The NWS says snow will continue into Monday and be heavy at times. There may be a mix of snow with sleet and rain Sunday night into Monday. About 6-10 inches of snow on top of Sunday's snow is expected in the area, along with winds of 15-25 mph and a few gusts up to 55 mph.

Visibility could be limited to a quarter-mile or less at times, according to the NWS. Roads may become impassable.

A Winter Storm Warning is issued when an average snowfall of 6 inches or more is expected within a 12 hour period or 8 inches or more in a 24 hour period. Travel will be slow at best on well-treated surfaces and quite difficult on untreated surfaces, according to the NWS.

A High Wind Warning is issued when sustained winds of 40 mph are expected for at least one hour, along with gusts of at least 58 mph.
