New Forecast Says 8-12 Inches of Snow for Dedham

Up to 12 inches could hit the area, according to the National Weather Service.

DEDHAM, MA - Up to a foot of snow could be on the ground by Friday night.

A Winter Storm Warning will be in effect Friday from 1 a.m. to 3 p.m. The warning is issued by the National Weather Service when more of six inches of snow is expected to fall and travel will be slow and difficult.

As of Friday morning, the NWS forecast calls for six to eight inches of snow.

Heavy snow is expected during the day, with a snowfall rate of up to one inch per hour. Drivers should expect hazardous condition and a slow drive. The NWS is advising people to telecommute if possible.

The latest hourly forecast calls for snow through late afternoon before tapering off to snow showers and light snow before ending after dinner Friday night.
