Easton Power Outages Down To 1,300

Easton power outages stretched into a fifth day following a historic nor'easter.

EASTON, MA — Easton power outages on Tuesday stretched into a fifth day following a devastating nor'easter. As of Tuesday morning, there were still 1,327 without power in Plymouth, according to National Grid. That figure represents 13 percent of town.

Statewide, more than 17,000 were without power Tuesday — mostly in Southeastern Massachusetts and on Cape Cod. Outages were expected to persist into mid-week or later, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.

Another nor'easter will hit Eastern Massachusetts Wednesday, though it will be weaker than Friday's storm.

At the height of Friday's storm, more than 450,000 lost power across Massachusetts. In Easton, more than 90 percent of town lost power. The storm was blamed for the death of a Plympton man after a tree fell on him.
