The husband and wife duo are "long-time devotees of btone" who say the workout is a “genius hybrid of resistance training, yoga and pilates, making it the perfect full-body workout for anyone visiting Cape Cod this summer.”

"When this space in Mashpee Commons became available, we jumped at the opportunity to open in this location," the Collura's said. "This is a development that attracts both residents and visitors all year long making it convenient for anyone to squeeze in a 45-minute total body tone workout."

The company was founded by Cape Cod resident Jody Merrill, who said that the Mashpee owners are ideal partners as they've been involved in the community around btone for years.

She agrees with them about the potential of the Mashpee location, too.

“Mashpee is the perfect market for our newest btone studio, especially at this time of the year when thousands of vacation-goers and those owning second homes descend upon this area. And we found the ideal location in Mashpee Commons which is incredibly supportive of businesses like ours," said Merrill.

The new Mashpee studio joins other locations throughout New England, including those in Boston and the metro area, as well as four on the north shore and three on the south shore and Cape Cod. Company officials say more studios should open in the coming months in Melrose and Walpole, but also in Chicago and Salt Lake City.

The Mashpee location is open now, and the company is already working with the community.

Class proceeds from the opening weekend benefited Cape Cod Foster Closet, a program of Nurturing Foster Families, Inc., that supports foster and relative caregiver families by providing material goods for children in care.
