Foxborough Opens Cooling Centers

Residents looking to beat the heat have two places they can go.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Need to escape the heatwave? The Town of Foxborough has two cooling centers to help you with that.

The Foxborough Senior Center at 75 Central St. and the McGinty Room in the Foxborough Public Safety Building at 8 Chestnut St. have been designated as cooling centers for July 2 and 3. The senior center will have normal operating hours while the McGinty Room will be open 24 hours.

A break in the heat is not expected following a weekend in the 90's. Monday's temperature is expected to reach a high of 91 degrees and Tuesday could get as hot as 92. Independence Day and Thursday could also see days in the low 90's and Friday may be the first day under 90 in a week, according to the National Weather Service.
