Grafton PD To Host Women's Self Defense Classes

Four classes will be offered to women ages 16 and over.

GRAFTON, MA — The Grafton Police Department wants women to stay safe and know how to defend themselves if necessary. The department is hosting a series of Rape Aggression Defense classes for women in the area.

The classes, also known as RAD, encourage women to take an active role in their self-defense and psychological well-being. The program starts with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance while progressing to hands-on defensive training.

The series will be four sessions long and take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Feb. 4th, 11th and 25 as well as March 3rd. The classes will only be open to women ages 16 and older. To register, contact Officer Mark Benoit at [email protected].
