10 Percent Of Hamilton Without Power

Wicked wind gusts knocked out power for hundreds overnight.

HAMILTON, MA — Powerful winds knocked out power for hundreds of customers overnight, leaving 10 percent of Hamilton in the dark.

There were 31,627 customers without power as of 7 a.m., according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency. Hamilton accounted for 304 of the outages. There was no estimated time of restoration.

Wind gusts of more than 50 miles per hour swept through Massachusetts overnight. A wind advisory remains in effect until 3 p.m.
