The 9th annual! Dedicated to the memory of Joanne Holbrook Patton with a U.S. Army Aviation Salute!

Mission: Share military histories as a positive community engagement to benefit education and awareness of service of all kinds.

SEE:

Military and/or law enforcement helicopter landing/display/take-off. Time and specific rotor aircraft to be announced 36-24hrs before the event, see Facebook as American Legion: Post 194 (Hamilton).

    Flyovers, USMC Platoon Marines and equipment, MA National Guard Units and Artillery, (6) operating WWII American, German tanks and vehicles, MA State Police K9 & Additional Units. State, Federal and nonprofit veteran services organizations.

    Military Re-enactors, historic equipment and memorabilia, children’s model making, RC model airplane hands on demos and displays, food truck refreshments and picnic tents!

    SPEAKERS:

    Benjamin Patton, grandson of General S. Patton, and son of Maj. General George Smith Patton IV will lead an MSD dedication for his mother, JHP. Mr. Patton is an advocate for U.S. military service history. 

    Charles C. Watkins, recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross from the U.S. Army, for heroism while participating in aerial flight evidenced by voluntary action above and beyond the call of duty in Vietnam. Mr. Watkins served as pilot of the command-and-control helicopter with the Aviation Platoon, Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment under the command of Major George Smith Patton IV, then COL Patton. 

    LTC Colonel Geoffrey Love, will be presenting via multiple digital screens important Massachusetts historic artifacts and histories from the Revolution to present day. 

    Andrew Biggio, Author of “The Rifle.” Both Vol I and Vol II books are inspirational stories about the journey of 28-year-old U.S. Marine, Andrew Biggio, who returned home from combat in Afghanistan and Iraq, full of questions about the price of war. He found answers from those who survived the costliest war of all, WWII veterans. 

    Mr. Amanullah Rahmani, Liaison, translator, Afghan National Development Strategy (ANDS). Prioritized local needs and provided vital information to the U.S. military based on local communities' urgent needs and how to win the hearts and minds of Afghan locals during Operation Enduring Freedom.
