Girls', Boys' Soccer Teams Fall Short in Semifinal Matches

The Hamilton-Wenham soccer teams were in action Tuesday, but neither could come up with the win.

The Hamilton-Wenham girls’ and boys’ soccer teams cut it as close as possible, but just couldn’t grab the wins in their respective semifinal matches on Tuesday.

In a 2 p.m. match, the No. 2-seeded boys’ team fell 1-0 to Bishop-Fenwick (7) in the semifinal round of the Division 4 North MIAA tournament.

Then, at 7 p.m., the girls, a No. 1 seed, pushed North Reading (5) to a game-deciding penalty kick. By a score of 1-0, Hamilton-Wenham’s girls’ team exited the Division 2 North tournament.
