Here Are the Latest Hamilton-Wenham Field Hockey and Volleyball Scores

Both teams were in action earlier this week.

The Hamilton-Wenham field hockey and volleyball teams were in action Monday and Tuesday, respectively.

Here are the results of those matches.

The field hockey team battled Georgetown to a 1-1 tie on Tuesday.

Sophomore Nadia Sostek scored the team’s only goal with an assist from junior Carter Shearer. Coach Jenn Blaha reported that sophomore Taylor Woodbury also played a “great” game.

The Generals had to fight to tie the game with just two minutes left in the game, Blaha added. The team’s current record is 5-10-2 and the final game of the season is Wednesday vs. Manchester.

Volleyball;

The Hamilton-Wenham volleyball team won a straight set match against Swampscott Wednesday, 25-14, 25-17 and 25-21.

Senior outside hitter Litah Brown served at 100 percent and sophomore outside hitter Ali Kimball added seven kills. Kristina Renaud, a senior middle hitter, contributed five kills and both Renaud and Kimball had zero hitting errors.

The team’s next game (Senior Night) is a home match Friday at 5:30 p.m. against Salem.
