As the world reflects on the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, the NECC Library staff is proud to present the special exhibit “September 11, 2001: The Day That Changed the World” in the Linda Hummel-Shea ArtSpace Gallery, located in the Bentley Library on the Haverhill Campus. The exhibit will be on display through the end of September.

To complement the exhibit, library staff have curated a display of books and movies that are about 9/11 and are available for check-out.

This special exhibit includes archival photographs and images of artifacts from the 9/11 Memorial & Museum’s permanent collection, told across a series of 14 posters.

It explores the consequences of terrorism on individual lives and communities at the local, national, and international levels, and encourages critical thinking about the legacies of 9/11.

The poster exhibition was developed by the 9/11 Memorial & Museum and has been made possible in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities: Democracy Demands Wisdom. You can find more information about the museum and events to commemorate the anniversary here.

The library is open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.
