Obituary: Nancy A. Brown, Wenham Town Accountant for Over 35 Years

Nancy A. Brown, born February 13, 1932, passed away in Andover, MA on December 24, 2014 at the age of 82. She was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in Illinois and New York before moving to Wenham, MA. She is pre-deceased by her husband Richard A. Brown and her sister Jean Whittingham.

Nancy moved to Wenham in 1953, raised her family and worked as the Town Accountant for over 35 years. After retiring from the Town of Wenham, she volunteered at the Wenham Tea House and Lazarus House in Lawrence, MA.

She is survived by her children: Stevan, of Cumberland Foreside, ME, Philip, of Essex, MA, David, of Beverly, MA, Matthew, of Wenham, MA, Jennifer Elkin and Meredith Brown, both of Andover, MA and Melissa Jean, of Windermere, FL as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours Monday, December 29, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence Street, Andover, Ma, 01810. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine’s Church in Andover, Ma. Burial will follow at the Wenham Cemetery in Wenham, Ma.
