MALDEN, MA — Former Malden Police Chief Kevin Molis has a new gig in the private sector just over three months after he retired from his role with the Malden Police.

EvaClean Infection Prevention Solutions announced last week that it had brought Molis on as a public safety advisor.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have Chief Molis on our advisory team,” EvaClean CEO Steve Wilson said in a statement announcing the addition. “He is as passionate about making the world a safer place as we are."

Molis served for 43 years with the Malden Police before retiring at the end of June. He now joins EvaClean, which produces various products focused on disinfection and infection prevention.

EvaClean, in its announcement, highlighted Molis’ experience working as a school resource officer and a member of Malden’s drug enforcement unit, among other experiences.

“I often asked myself, ‘Am I doing everything I can to keep a safe environment and protect the public?’” Molis said of his policing philosophy in EvaClean’s announcement. “Otherwise, I am not living up to my oath and my personal commitment.”

Molis’ new role will have him helping promote what EvaClean described as “safe and effective surface disinfection in public venues and government facilities.”
