MARLBOROUGH, MA — Summer is almost over for Marlborough students. The first day of school in the district is coming up on Aug. 28.

Here are some of the important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:

• Start date: Aug. 28
• Early release days: Sept. 25, Oct. 23, Dec. 11
• Labor Day: Aug. 30, Sept. 2
• Columbus Day: Oct. 14
• Election Day/Professional development day: Nov. 5
• Veterans' Day: Nov. 11
• Thanksgiving break: Nov. 27 to 29
• Winter break: Dec. 23 to Dec. 31, school resumes Jan. 2
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school: Jan. 20
• February break: Feb. 17 to 21
• April break: April 21 to 25
• Memorial Day: May 26
• High school graduation: June 1
• Last day: June 16 (with no snow days)
• June 24: last day with maximum snow days
