Injuries In Overnight Route 1 Crash That Closed Ramps In Saugus

SAUGUS, MA — The Route 1 North ramp to and from Main Street in Saugus has been reopened after a crash early Tuesday morning.

State Police said there were injuries in the crash, which was reported around 1 a.m. They did not specify how many people were hurt or the severity of the injuries.

Police said a car knocked down a telephone pole, which caused electrical wires to fall on Main Street. The travel lanes were soon reopened, but the ramps to and from were closed for some time.
