Melrose Chamber Of Commerce Plans Job Fair

MELROSE, MA — The Melrose Chamber of Commerce will gather early next month for a planned job fair event.

The program is set for Nov. 2 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus at 23 West Foster St. in Melrose.

The event is free to attend, offering a variety of local jobs across industries, as noted in an event announcement from the chamber of commerce.

Organizers had 17 businesses registered to participate as of Thursday, with some room for additional participants.

The job fair will partner with eight area high schools and 16 area chambers of commerce to help drive attendance.

“As we continue to emerge from the pandemic and recover from the effects on small business, our members are all experiencing challenges with staffing,” Melrose Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Stephanie Nelson said in the chamber’s recent statement. “We’re thrilled to be able to partner with the Knights of Columbus to host a Job Fair to address that need.”

Job seekers should bring multiple copies of their resume to next month’s event.
