Melrose Olympian Named To US Team Again

He's not on Mount Hood anymore.

MELROSE, MA — Pyeongchang isn't exactly Mount Hood, but Steven Langton will make do. The hometown boy will once again represent the US in the Winter Olympics, this time in South Korea.

Langton, 34, announced his retirement in 2015, but it looks like the Americans have a real shot at Olympic gold. He helped the US take two bronze medals in Sochi 2014 in two- and four-man events. He also finished 10th in two-man in and 22d in four-man in Vancouver 2010.

Langton won gold at World Championships in Lake Placid in 2012, the first time an American sled won the two-man event.

Langton is a multi-time Men's Bobsled Athlete of the Year. His brother Chris competed from 2012-2014 and was USA Bobsled's alternate for the Sochi 2014 games.

When he's not representing his country on the global stage, Langton works in Kohler's Marketing Department.
